Ask NOLA

Ask NOLA (North Queensland Online Legal Access) is our free legal education platform, specifically designed for community service providers working in rural, regional and remote locations, to help them better identify and understand the legal needs of the women they are working with

Our Ask Nola platform provides free regular webinars and information on the legal issues most commonly dealt with by North Queensland Women’s Legal Service (NQWLS). The issues generally fall within one or more of the following areas:

  • Family law (including divorce, parenting, property settlement and child support matters)

  • Domestic and family violence

  • Child Protection

  • Sexual assault

  • Human Rights and discrimination

  • Victim Assist

The resources and webinars provided through Ask Nola are designed to be practical, interactive and accessible. They often include an overview of how the law works / the processes involved, as well as the legal rights and responsibilities of individuals.

Although targeted to community service providers, anyone is welcome to access the Ask Nola platform and join our regular webinars.
